SNAKE RIVER CONSPIRACY
Snake River Conspiracy (SRC) was an industrial rock band formed in 1996 by producers Eric Valentine and Jason Slater, who then recruited Tobey Torres to be vocalist. Snake River Conspiracy has gone through various changes in lineups, the two current members being Tobey Torres-Doran and Mitchell Doran.

Snake River Conspiracy only released one album during their activity, this being 'Sonic Jihad' in 2000. The album was relatively unsuccesful commercially but received some positive feedback from critics. It features quite a few covers, including 'Lovesong' by The Cure and 'How Soon Is Now?' by The Smiths. SRC also released two EPs: 'Vulcan' in 1999 and 'Smells Like Teen Punk Meat' in 2000, which includes B-sides 'She Said She Said', 'Coke & Vaseline', and 'Homicide'.
SRC has been pretty much inactive since Sonic Jihad; Eric Valentine and Jason Slater split from the band in hopes of new musical ventures and Tobey Torres and Mitchell Doran are now active in their new project Mojave Phone Booth.
WHY I LOVE SRC
I think their music is awesome... found out about them when I saw a photoshoot with Tairrie B and Tobey Torres and I've been obsessed ever since. They only have one album but it's really one of my favorites. I like the aggresive industrial mixing in songs like 'Vulcan' or 'Somebody Hates You' and the softer bits too, like 'Casualty' or 'You and Your Friend'. Every song is good, and I think the tones balance out well. It all resonates with me and I think they deserved more praise then they got.
